“Creative Solutions to Complex Problems”
What Makes Lakeside Mediation Unique?
Our approach is different. We offer a relaxing venue on a lake for your mediation session. Casual attire is recommended. We all meet together for the opening session and then begin negotiations using private caucuses. Lunch is brought in to avoid interrupting the process. After enjoying a catered lunch on the large deck overlooking the lake, you can discuss your case as you walk along the dam. Of course, you can also choose the traditional law office setting. However, the conveniently located country venue is offered at no charge, and lunch is on us!
Our philosophy is to serve as proactive neutrals, not mere messengers taking offers and counter offers back and forth. We draw on our experience to make suggestions and to point out the strengths and weaknesses of the case.
Bert King formed Lakeside Mediation to apply the innovative techniques he developed and which led to his election to the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals®. Bert has handled a wide range of cases including injury and death claims, estate disputes, partnership “divorces,” real estate litigation, defective construction claims, contract disputes and even a church division. Bert has helped resolve cases filed in probate, state and federal courts.
Neal Graham, one of the most respected worker's comp attorneys in Georgia, also offers extensive experience in medical malpractice and nursing home negligence cases. Neal’s outstanding appellate work has helped shape Georgia law. Neal’s decades of trial and appellate work have provided him with a holistic approach to dispute resolution.
Dr. Dana Johnson not only has a strong legal background, but is also recognized as an innovator in the field of education in which she earned her PhD. She is uniquely qualified to handle divorce, family law, school law and civil rights cases as well as employment disputes. Dana provides high quality mediation services in each of these disciplines, some of which are underserved by the alternative dispute resolution community.
Hubert “Hu” Lovein is an emeritus partner with a prominent firm where he enjoyed a diverse practice
for over four decades. Hu’s impressive resume speaks to the broad range of disputes he is equipped to mediate or arbitrate. Although his areas of expertise are too numerous to list, Hu enjoys
handling probate cases (interpretation and validity of wills, asset division among heirs, year’s support cases), real estate disputes (involving residential, commercial and agricultural properties,
including timber and mineral rights issues) and business litigation (internal and external disputes, partnership dissolution, as well as non-compete and trade secret issues).
From the venue that gives rise to our name to the unprecedented range of legal issues we are qualified to handle, the team at Lakeside Mediation is uniquely suited to help you resolve your case or claim. Our mission statement is to help litigants craft “Creative Solutions to Complex Problems” without the unnecessary stress and expense of extensive discovery, hearings, trials and appeals.
