What Makes Lakeside Mediation Unique?

            Our approach is different.  We offer a relaxing venue on a lake for your mediation session.  Casual attire is recommended.  Lunch is brought in to avoid interrupting the process.  After enjoying a catered lunch on the large deck overlooking the lake, you can discuss your case as you walk along the dam.  Of course, you can also choose the traditional setting of a law office.  However, the conveniently located country venue is offered at no charge, and lunch is on us! Either way, we offer state wide ADR services tailored to fit your needs. Our philosophy is to serve as pro-active neutrals, not mere messengers taking offers and counter offers back and forth. We draw on decades of experience to make creative suggestions and to work with the participants to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the case or claim.

            After arbitrating and mediating hundreds of cases over 25 years, Bert formed Lakeside to apply the innovative techniques he developed and which led to his membership in the National Association of Distinguished Neutrals.® (Bert has handled a wide range of cases including injury and death claims, estate disputes, partnership “divorces,” real estate litigation, defective construction claims, contract disputes and even a church division.)

Neal Graham, one of the most respected worker’s comp attorneys in Georgia, also offers extensive experience in medical and nursing home negligence cases.  Neal’s outstanding appellate work has helped shaped Georgia law. Neal’s decades of trial and appellate work have provided him with a holistic approach to dispute resolution.

Hu’s impressive resume speaks to the broad range of disputes he is equipped to mediate or arbitrate. Although his areas of expertise are too numerous to list, Hu enjoys handling probate cases (interpretation and validity of wills, asset division among heirs, year’s support cases), real estate disputes (involving residential, commercial and agricultural properties, including timber and mineral rights issues) and business litigation (internal and external disputes, partnership dissolution, as well as non-compete and trade secret issues).
